Does a spoofer cost frames or fight with anything else running

Thinking about a spoofer as a just-in-case thing rather than because I've been banned. Two concerns before I add another layer to the setup.

One, does it cost performance. Two, does it conflict with the overlay or with the BIOS security settings the main tool wants on. I don't want to fix one thing and break three.

Performance cost is negligible, it's not doing anything frame-by-frame. The conflict question is the real one and the answer is usually "no, but sort it before the game's running".

Do the spoof, reboot, then launch. Doing it mid-session is how people get weird half-spoofed states.

So it's an order-of-operations thing, not a compatibility thing.

Mostly. If something does misbehave it's nearly always because it was run after the game or after the overlay.

Keep it as a separate step you do once and forget, not something you toggle per session.

That's manageable. Was expecting a horror story.

Horror stories are people running it last-minute with the game open. Don't be those people.
